Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using the taool.com website or joining the taool waitlist (together, "the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use, an agreement between you and us, the operator of the Service ("we", "us", or "our"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service, and the Service is not directed at children under 13. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement.

3. Description of Service

taool is an upcoming product for indie iOS developers. It has not launched yet; the Service currently consists of this website and a waitlist. Joining the waitlist does not guarantee access to taool or access by any particular date, and planned features may change. taool is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Apple Inc.

4. The Waitlist

• Use an email address that you own and control, and join only once
• You may choose any app that is publicly listed on the App Store. Choosing an app does not claim or imply ownership of it; taool uses only publicly available App Store information about it
• Signups made by automated means are not permitted and may be removed

5. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for its intended, lawful purpose and in accordance with these Terms. You must not, and must not help anyone else to:

• Access the Service or its application programming interface (the "API") by any means other than through the taool.com website or the official taool app;
• Scrape, copy, extract, or otherwise collect data from the Service using any automated means (such as bots, scrapers, or scripts);
• Circumvent or interfere with any security, bot-protection, rate-limiting, or access-control measure of the Service;
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive the source code or structure of the Service or the API, except where applicable law permits;
• Place an unreasonable load on, or otherwise disrupt, the Service or its infrastructure; or
• Impersonate another person, or sign up anyone else without their consent.

6. API Access

The API exists only to support the taool.com website and the official taool app. Any other access to the API, or to the data it returns, is unauthorized. We may monitor use of the Service, and we reserve the right, without notice, to set usage limits, rate-limit requests, and restrict, block, or remove access or signups that violate these Terms, as well as to pursue any available legal remedies. The restrictions in Sections 5 and 6 survive any termination.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, its design, code, name, wordmark, and original content are owned by us. App names, icons, and other App Store content belong to their respective owners and are shown for identification only. Apple, App Store, and iOS are trademarks of Apple Inc.

8. Availability and Accuracy

We strive to provide accurate and timely information, but we do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any data presented through the Service. Information about apps comes from public sources and may contain gaps, errors, or delays. The Service is provided on an "as is" basis.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we and the Service's developers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, U.S.A., without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. The state and federal courts located in New York County, New York will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts. Nothing in this section deprives you of any mandatory consumer protections under the law of your place of residence.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time, and will do so before the taool app launches. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
